Our Programs : Certified Logging Professional

Cultivating SKILL, KNOWLEDGE and PRIDE in the Maine woods.

It is the mission of the Certified Logging Professional Program to provide the best possible training and education for people involved in the Maine logging industry. Our program will continually evolve to reflect changes in the forest products industry and will provide a means for continual professional growth.

 

A directory of Certified Logging Professionals by town is available at municipal offices and libraries and at the CLP website.

2008 CLP Banquet

 

Plan to attend the 18th Annual Certified Logging Professional (CLP) Banquet in Brewer at Jeff's Catering on December 5th, 2008.  Logger of the Year awards will again be made in each of three categories, Conventional, Mechanical and Contractor/Supervisor and loggers who have completed training this year will receive certificates.


2007 CLP BANQUET

The 17th Certified Logging Professional Banquet took place on November 30 at Jeff’s Catering in Brewer.  Logger of the Year awards, sponsored by Fraser Papers and Huber Resources, were made to loggers in three categories, Conventional, Mechanical and Contractor/Supervisor.  Each received a check for $1,000, a monogrammed jacket and an engraved plaque.  They also were featured in a ½ page newspaper ad in the Bangor Daily News and the Maine Sunday Telegram the weekend of January 26.
